Liholiho prominently and systematically implements the “3 Be’s: Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible” and the 16 Habits of Mind (Intelligent Behaviors, Costa 1981), in addition to the Department of Education’s General Learner Outcomes (GLOs). Collectively these are the core values and mindset of the school’s design and reflective of the school’s vision and mission. The attributes of the 3 Be’s, 16 Habits of Mind (HoM), and the GLOs support and build the mental disciplines for learners to be successful both in school and in life. Liholiho, as a certified Institute for Habits of Mind, continually strives to provide a nurturing, positive learning environment for all students built around a culture of thinking, which has resulted in the recognition of being a high-achieving school.
